This fool finally clocked some couch time...for 3 long hours and many episodes of America's Next Top Model (how many times can a person hear the word "fierce"?)...and updated STALK MY LIFE! So if you're interested in seeing what I've seen, you can go back to March 22nd. I really can't believe I dropped the ball for almost a month. What a lazy bum! Regardless, I'm back. We're back. Pictures are back so go enjoy 'em! Or spit on 'em! Or whatever you do. I consider everything a compliment.
I painted this weekend. I feel whole again.
I went to Pat Catan's Friday afternoon and bought 45 new paints and a few new canvases (no, I don't stretch my own...I'm lazy...that's why I order pizza instead of making it myself). I cracked open the new sketchbook Todd got me and just went wild. By Saturday afternoon, a 2 canvas project for Bob's 40th birthday was complete...and I was completely happy with how it turned out.
I felt 100% like myself for those 2 days. I was paint covered head-to-toe. Todd cleaned brushes. I listened to cartoons in the background. It was just good. I wish I had a better way to describe it. I love painting. I hadn't rocked a brush in 8 months which is shameful. But the silly idea that Todd and I cooked up over beers at PJ's weeks back went from my brain to book to canvas. And now Bob and Stephanie own a fertility/family portrait painting of Tura Satana and Frankenstein walking Godzilla.
Yep. I have the brain of a 13 year old boy!
And I'm OK with that.
