We went to see Frankie Valli and The Four Seasons last night at The State Theater. The tickets were part of Todd's Christmas present. Though the seats there are wildly uncomfortable (unless you have short legs), it was a rockin' good time and a nice change. No one spilled beer on me, no one crashed into me, there was no drama. The crowd...who were mostly in their sixties...just had a damn good time. It was worth every penny.
Here is the set list in no particular order:
-Sherry
-Big Girls Don't Cry
-Walk Like a Man
-Dawn (Go Away)
-Rag Doll
-Save It For Me
-Bye Bye Baby (Baby Goodbye)
-Let's Hang On
-Working My Way Back To You
-I've Got You Under My Skin (cover)
-Spanish Harlem (cover...of a song I hate)
-Let It Be Me (cover...of a song I love)
-Call Me (cover...of a horrible song)
-My Girl/Groovin' (pretty awesome combo of covers)
-Tell It To the Rain
-Beggin'
-December 1963 (Oh, What a Night)
-Can't Take My Eye Off You
-My Eyes Adored You
-Swearin' To God
-Who Loves You
-Grease
Besides "Ronnie" and "Candy Girl"...and "Opus 17" for my girl Hot Trash...they covered all the hits. And Erin. you were right. You don't realize how MANY hits Frankie (yeah, we're on first name terms) had until you're there. It was, "Oh YEAH. I forgot about this jam!". Or "I didn't know he did this song when he went solo!". Pretty amazing. Totally good time.
Merry Christmas (in April).

i can't believe he didn't do those three and chose weird covers instead!
His new album is all covers. Still...I could have done without them.
